What do you love most about your current home? I don’t know where to start! After living in the same apartment for 10 years, we recently moved to our first house on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. It’s a late 1960s red brick home with great bones, and the renovation was two years in the planning. The extra space for my little family of four is wonderful, and I love driving up to our charming little house with the coral pink door.
The current trend or look you’re loving? I love the fact that terracotta is making a bit of a comeback, as I have lots of succulents and cacti in inexpensive terracotta pots that are looking ‘cool’ again.
Favourite piece in your home? My new upholstered bedhead that I designed for Bednest (which will be available online really soon), and I love a print I picked up for $10 at an op shop years ago and had re-framed.
Any tips on an easy, creative way to show a room some love? It’s an oldie but a goodie – give a room a fresh coat of paint and you’ll get immediate results. Window treatments are also a really clever investment. I recently went for a mix of plantation shutters, translucent roller blinds and fabric awnings at our new house and I can honestly say they’ve had the biggest ‘before and after’ wow factor.
